Description

3D printed mask design, coupled with 2 types of filter media and elastic headbands to form a face-fitted Level 3 Respirator/Surgical Mask.

The filter media is autoclaved Halyard H600 Surgical Wrap (2 layer material, droplet impermeable) as the external layer. Underneath that are 2 layers of 3M Filtrete MPR 2800 Ultrafine Furnace/AC Filter. These two types of material are cut into circular cutouts 6" in diameter, then placed over the lip of the mask. The filter media is then secured with a zip tie for tight fit. The STL files allow for 4 sizes of prints to fit a variety of face shapes, XSM, SM, M, L. These masks meet or exceed requirements for Level 3 Surgical masks and protect from both droplets, splashes and airborne particles, in addition to providing a much more tailored fit than standard surgical masks.
