Description
This project involved fabricating a set of custom tissue imaging holders designed to support the next phase of skin imaging research. The assembly consists of three separate components: a back plate, a front plate, and a front stabilizer. These parts are intended to be assembled directly on tissue using sutures and bolts to provide stable positioning during imaging procedures.
Because the devices will be used in a research environment requiring sterilization, fabrication in a biocompatible material was requested, with autoclavability being a key consideration. Three copies of each component were produced to support both installation and autoclave validation testing.
The three components were provided as individual STL files, allowing print orientation and fabrication parameters to be optimized independently for improved print quality and performance.
