Description

This specimen was the sample subject of displaying the free / open-source software pathway from a micro-CT scan to a 3D resource - this being the 3D print focussed output. This model represents the result from following the current pathway produced for my thesis. Seeing no models for insects, I feel this would be a strong introduction for continuing to upload more entomological focussed models for anyone to download freely.

The mesh was generated in ORS Dragonfly, with hollowing performed in Meshlab and non-manifold edge repair done in OrcaSlicer.
