Description

This 3D-printed adapter is designed for Uni-CassetteĀ® system cassettes (Sakura Finetek USA, Inc.) and is compatible with various commercially available cryostats, including Leica and Sakura models. The adapter comprises three components: a cassette frame, a frame cap, and a sliding lid, with three lid variants to fit different cryostat mounts. Assembly requires bonding the frame cap and cassette frame using UV-curable resin, ensuring a secure and durable connection.

We tested and recommend printing the adapter using a Formlabs Form 4 printer with Tough 1500 UV resin, which provides durability, a smooth finish, and compatibility with low temperatures. The three-piece design allows for precise adjustment of the lid gap during assembly and improves accessibility for users without access to high-precision 3D printers.
