Description

As part of their pathogenic strategy, Salmonella bacteria inject several dozen types of effector proteins using a molecular needle - the injectisome. These injected proteins disable the cell’s defenses and rewire the cell’s metabolism to assist with the growth of the bacteria inside the cell.

As always, our source of inspiration is PDB101 - head there for more details on the Salmonella injectisome.

The yellow needle needs to be printed at a lower scale the the rest of the components. The complete model was cut in PrusaSlicer and slots for magnets were created within PrusaSlicer.
