Description
Automated TEM Grid staining using the HistoEnder (Ender-3 Printer):
TH_Hiraoka tray matrix1.stl
A 4 x 4= 16 fused modified Hiraoka TEM Grid Staining Tray matrix piece for staining TEM grids. Each tray can hold up to 4 mL of heavy metal stains (e.g. aqueous uranyl acetate, Lead citrate stain) and distilled water rinses. It is recommended to print in a chemical resistant material (e.g. PETG, ABS, or polypropylene) and spray a water resistant sealant over the tray wells. Parafilm lining using the modified Hiraoka kit apparatus should be used for maintaining a clean surface and aid in disposal.
TH_GridPlate Holder_A and TH_GridPlate Holder_B
Interfaces with HistoEnder Headpiece and acts as a Holder for the Leica EM AC20 grid support plate (Leica Microsystems, U.S.A. 38×40mm, cat# 16707299). Parafilm strips may be used to retain the plate and prevent chemical contamination of the holder.
TH_GridPlate Holder_A.stl
Has a T-hinge to attach to the HistoEnder Headpiece. Note: Loaded with steel washers for magnetism and weight, then glued to piece TH_GridPlate Holder_B.stl
TH_GridPlate Holder_B.stl: Holds the Leica EM AC20 grid support plate.
Note: TH_GridPlate Holder_B.stl: needs to be glued to piece TH_GridPlate Holder_A.stl
