Description:
This reference organ, Skin-female (https://humanatlas.io/3d-reference-library) was created using data from the Visible Human Dataset, provided by the National Library of Medicine (Spitzer and Whitlock 2002). In version v1.3, the torso of the skin model was moved up from previous editions to incorporate the clavicles and other anatomy for the breast. It was also adjusted to add space for the triceps surae and the ankle bones for the eventual addition of the triceps surae muscles and landmark organs. In v2.3, the head was adjusted to be more like the original skin of the Visible Human Female, to make space for the mouth 3D object and landmarks.
