Description:

This reference organ, Placenta-full-term-female (https://humanatlas.io/3d-reference-library) was created using a sculpted model of the placenta, partly informed by MRI data from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at UC San Diego Health. Human Microscopic Anatomy (Krstić 1991) and Mannelli et al. 2015 were consulted.
