Description
Rhodamine B is a fluorescent dye with various applications in cell biology and fluorescence microscopy. In solution, its non-fluorescent spirolactone form is far less abundant than the favorable zwitterionic form. However, due to its higher hydrophobicity, it is thought to be membrane permeable.
