Description

This is a rough design that allows the use of an economical generic mouse to alleviate some of the arthritic pain from CMC Joint Osteoarthritis. It can also potentially alleviate some of the stress found in Carpel Tunnel Syndrome.

After determining the flat dimensions of the base of a generic mouse a platform was made to include raised spheres to assist in hand placement. Personally I have a hard time using a small mouse as the distance from my thumb to 4th and 5th fingers is narrow. This position places an uncomfortable angle at my CMC joint. By using the platform my generic mouse can be glued into it and the spheres on the platform help to keep my hand open and therefore relax the angle of my CMC joint.
