Description

This model of the HPV Minichromosome was used in PathogenAR for the Papilloma: The HPV Minichromosome Module.

These models were originally generated for:

Porter SS, Liddle JC, Browne K, Pastrana DV, Garcia BA, Buck CB, Weitzman MD, McBride AA. Histone Modifications in Papillomavirus Virion Minichromosomes. mBio. 2021 Feb 16;12(1):e03274-20. doi: 10.1128/mBio.03274-20. PMID: 33593981.

They were also featured in PaVE 3D.

A schematic model was generated using 13 H3.3 (dark orange) nucleosomes (PDB 5X7X) and 19 H3.1 (light orange) nucleosomes (PDB 3AFA) packed into a sphere approximating the interior of HPV16 capsid (PDB 5KEP) using CellPACK and ePMV in Maxon Cinema 4D. Each nucleosome is wrapped with 146 bp DNA, and linked by 100-bp segments of linker DNA (7,872 bp total).  Linking was done in Autodesk Maya.  H2A is depicted in light green, H2B in dark green, and H4 in yellow.

The model is UV mapped and includes AO textures.
