Description

This model was used in the PathogenAR Hepatitis B: The Hepatitis B Life Cycle Module in PathogenAR (https://www.niaid.nih.gov/research/pathogenar-mobile-app)

P Protein</color></b></size> Since no structural data is available for P Protein, HIV reverse transcriptase bound to Tenofovir from PDB 1T03 was used to get the very general shape of a reverse transcriptase.  It was smoothed and remeshed to a low resolution to remove most details.  There is a certain degree of homology between P Protein and HIV reverse transcriptase, but it was insufficient to grasp the structure of the whole protein.

An illustration of the life cycle from PathogenAR is included, with the step associated with this model highlighted.
