Description
Here we provide the .STL files of the composite molds for the H3-H4 and H2A-H2B dimers the Histone octamer (coming from 1KX5).
The model is in a ten million times (TMT) scale (see [1]).
The file can be imported in any slicing software to obtain the .gcode for your desired printer. The 3D printed shapes are initially used to cast the soft silicone inner mold, then composite mold can be assembled using the soft silicone mold parts and the respective outer shells (refer to Volume-aware design of composite molds - Siggraph 2019 - YouTube for a brief video of how the method works).
After printing the hard shells and casting the silicone mold, you can use your silicone of choice to cast soft models of the H3-H4 and H2A-H2B dimers. The proteins surfaces have been processed by our algorithm to ensure easy and correct adhesion between the partecipating dimers along active sites. In the attached pictures you can see how well the dimers surfaces match together along the active sites, allowing easy assembly of the complete octamer.
This work will be presented @ the Cell Bio virtual 2020 Poster Session https://www.abstractsonline.com/pp8/#!/9251/presentation/3395
