Description

Model 3DPX-000168 is remixed here for ease of use in mechanical modeling in SolidWorks for demonstration purposes. The model was hollowed in MeshLab to simulate cortical layer, however the model does not include a separate cancellous portion. The bone is cut roughly in half with a solid portion added to the bottom for ease of fixture and reduced computation time. The femoral head is also replaced by a separate sphere to enable rapid creation of femoral implants from the ball joint, though it should be noted that as a result, bonded contact should be set to 'incompatible mesh' for SolidWorks mechanical simulation.
