Description
This main face shield frame design was adapted from the Prusa Face Shield. It has been optimized in the following ways:
- No lettering that could cause printing errors or slow down the print.
- Reduced height of the face shiled frame to increase printing speed.
- The side attachment points have been moved so the bottom side angle to support the print is not needed.
- Includes an adjustable strap buckle that works with 1/2" fabric elastic straps, so the side attachment point are a 2nd optional method to attach the straps
- The recommended print material is PETG.
This works with the original Prusa face shield bottom reinforcement that is also uploaded here. Also included is an SVG and AI file for making the shield from 12"x12" pre-cut transparent sheets for stencilling. These are designed to be used with a stencil cutter machine. I used a Brother Stencil Cutter (model SDX125) to cut the shields from the 12"x12" stencil sheets.
I've deliverd 96 of these Assembled Face Shields to the UW Medical System in Seattle, WA.
