Description

This is a design for a simpler-to-print and faster-to-print version of the Prusa RC-3 that our local 3D printing group has been building for local healthcare workers. The design incoporates a slimmer head band and a thinner chin support to facilitate faster print times. It also uses the stacking principles of the original RC-3 to increase the number of headbands that can be printed at one time, such as when printing overnight.

Additionally, the flat face shield part has been modified to allow for a "dome" structure to be created for the top of the head by folding flaps of plastic and pinning them together with a commercially available Nylon (PET) pin. Printed parts should ideally be PETg, the plastic shield part should be either PET or Polycarbonate (PC) material, approximately 0.5mm thick. Additionally, any elastic loop, such as a hairband or a simple rubber band can be used to secure the shield to the users head. Optionally, foam padding can be added to the forehead part of the headband for additional user comfort.

Please note that this version is based off of the original Prusa Face Shield with a 4 hole configuration, not the US version with 3 holes.
