Description
A redesigned PAPR Hood connector designed to be 3d printed and then cast in urethane resin. Though not officially tested, sealant of some sort between fabric and flanges right before nut is tightened will likely improve overall seal beyond the mechanical seal created using only the thread/nut combination.
The washer may not be necessary. In our case, the original intention was that the washer would be glued to the outside of the hood and the nut screwed down onto the washer to hold the washer in place until the adhesive cures and then removed. Decided to eliminate the washer and glue the fllange on the nut when assembling which would result in entire assembly becoming a permanent part of the hood.

The printed parts were tested for fit at Virgina Mason Hospital in Seattle.
This adapter assembly is designed to fit the 3m Versaflow.
