Description

We have been working closely with UW, Harborview, and Swedish to optimize the mfr of 3D printed face shields.

100% of the end users questioned prefer a face shield with forehead covering that extends above and back towards the head.

Our focus was to optimize the already widely adopted Prusa RC3 model with integrated forehead shield

We have analyzed the models for flow path (high velocity directional spray and drip) and adjusted the design to provide the best protection possible while reducing time and material.

Our approach to seperate the forehead shield as a 2D sheet allows for faster print times while creating a safer fluid path (outside the clear face shield instead of inside)

We also are able to cut the forehead shield from just about any available thin sheet stock to save 3D print time. (it can still be printed very quickly if sheet stock is not available)

We currently have 2 design.  One for the typical button hole elastic band and one specifically for goggle straps. (UW provided hundreds of surplus swim goggle straps)

Please let me know if I can support your efforts in any way.

We have submitted our designs to NIH and Prusa for additional use.

Thank you,
