Description

It is essential that health care workers have access to high-quality PPE to protect themselves while treating COVID-19 patients. The recent shortages of PPE motivated me to design a high-quality face shield that could be 3D printed to address this urgent clinical need.

My face shield has been tested with an 8.5 x 11" heavy duty sheet protector, which covers the entire front and sides of the face. It is easy to insert and remove the plastic insert, which is securely fastened between the visor and the frame. There is enough room under the face shield to wear safety goggles and a respirator.
