Description

QSD Face Shield is a simple, reliable, comfortable and economic face shield with frame printed by 3D printers. Different types of visors can fit in the shield frame including transparancy films, and the visor angles can be adjusted as desired. This is especially critical in the unprecendented time of COVID-19 outbreak for healthcare personnel. Regular people can find it useful too. The key features are:

- The frame is easy to accomodate various visors and the visor angles can be adjusted as desired. The visors are fixed by clips at any desirable angle. A pair of clips is provided for very thin visors such as transparancy film (0.2mm thick) and commonly used visors with thickness of 0.04" (1mm). Other customized clips can be produced within 7 minutes per pair. The clips can hold the visor tighly thanks to the wall roughness of the 3D printed clips.

- No holes and pegs in the front of the visor to avoid infections

- The frame is easy to produce. No complicated structures. Even low-end 3D printers can print it easily.

- Efficient use of materials with good rigidity. Consume 25g PLA per face shield when typical 3D printer settings are used. The print time is 2.5 hours per face shield with typical settings. The typical settings include 0.4mm line width, 0.2mm intial layer height, 0.3mm layer height, wall thickness of 0.8mm, top/bottom thickness of 0.9mm and 30% infill with grid pattern.
