Description

Soap Capsule:

The capsule body is a disposable 3d printed part. The amount of soup is 2ml (this is what I measured to be enough) but needs to be investigated if this is enough by the appropriate parties.

In the image that I attached, I tested the prototypes with chocolate syrup first and then I tested the model with SoftSoap brand liquid soap and it works well.

This part will allow individuals to better self-quarantine with not using commonly shared products and to use this for emergency hand washing situations.

How to use it: The part has embedded soap and due to the part's geometry, and if the pause is introduced correctly, the layer that pause was engaged will be weak so that with minimal pressure ( this could be a subjective matter as person to person might be different) the user can cap-off the part and soap will be dispensed.

Note: if the pressure is not applied correctly, it might cause breakage on the body of the part and crush its body. The PLA will not be sharp enough to introduce any cuts (in my opinion), but I thought to mention this.

I have not yet tried printing the capsule with water-soluble filament in order to see if it could be a better idea. I can update if this idea is acceptable.
