Description

This model was created for PathogenAR, an augmented reality program being developed by the Biovisualization Program in the Bioinformatics and Computational Biosciences Branch in the Office of Cyber Infrastructure and Computational Biology at NIAID.

This structure consists of engineered protein chains that can form a small sphere (the nanoparticle), each spliced to different Hemagglutinin (HA) chains.  These spontaneously come together to form spheres, with 5 copies each of 4 different HA types projecting from its surface.  These multiple types of HA on a single vaccine particle can produce a broader immune response.

There are 2 versions of this model:

1) The App version of the model (.fbx) contains the UV mapped model split into its selectable pieces as used in the app.

2) All other versions are the 3D printable version uploaded for processing by the 3D Print Exchange services.
