Description

A phase L condenser insert for use with a x4 phase contrast objective on a Nikon Diaphot TMD inverted phase contrast microscope.

This came about as we were recomissioning a donated system that came without a phase condenser,. We managed to source a second hand condensor via online auction site but it arrived without a phase L insert and we needed one so printed one by filament extrusion. The insert is quite crude but it is effective. If being made by CNC milling, the edges of the slot would benefit from chamfers. The model was created in FreeCAD, with the lettering created in TinkerCAD and imported into FreeCAD.
