Description

This model integrates the RMS threaded part from the excellent open flexure microscope with an 8 by 10 stud brick, compatible with Lego and other Lego-compatible building blocks. This can be used to construct simple (or even not-so-simple) microscopes using toy construction blocks for alignment and structural assembly. The threaded part of the aperture will accept any RMS threaded objective lens. If a finite conjugate lens is used, only a sensor/camera and bricks to create the "lens tube" are required to produce a functional microscope.

The model is designed to centre the optical axis midway between the 4th and 5th stud, but the alignment in model design was approximate and may need refinement.
