This linear generator was created to be used in the MTU wave tank connected to a prototype wave energy converter. This was made under the direction of Dr. Gordon Parker.

The adapter pictured next to the linear generator is used to quickly create the coils. The adapter plugs into the end of the main body, and then to a 1/4in hex drill bit. Using an electric drill makes the creation of the coils extremely quick. The magnets used are 1in diameter and in this specific case, 1/4 in height. Included are some extra spacers to slide onto the main tube to seperate each coils in a uniform manner.
