Description

3D printable, disposable scalpel holder to hold scalpels during surgery. Commercial equivalents are hard to find specific pricing on, but tend to come in the $60-120 range. The 3D printable scalpel holder only costs around 42 cents each. Additionally, there are models for disposable scalpel handles from 3mm thick to 6mm thick, designed to fit blade sizes 10-15. Commerical scalpel handles cost $1.80+, while the 3D printed handles cost less (3mm thick = 11 cents, 4mm thick = 15 cents, 5mm thick = 17 cents, 6mm thick = 19 cents).

The openSCAD file for the scalpel holder includes a parametric base, with customizable supports depending on how many scalpels you want the holder to house.
