Description

This is a submission for the Scientific Aid Project in the MSE4777 course at MTU.

Two tools for marking a strain gage location either on flat bar stock or a curved surface at an angle. The MEEM5160 course at MTU includes 2 labs were students place gages on a flat aluminum bar and on a soda can. The linkage device helps find the center of the bar and has a slot for marking with a pencil. The second curved tool allows for a mark to be made at an ange on a curved surface. Both OpenSCAD files are included and can be modified to fit a specific purpose.

Cost is less than a dollar for each part, and there is not a true market equivalent as these are custom to the application.
