Description

The Open Source Hardware Enterprise of Michigan Tech runs a 3D printing service to campus. The lab is looking to be more efficient at pricing their prints when they are complete. To solve this issue we were tasked with creating a 3D printed scale using a load cell, Arduino and LCD. The scale will output the price of the print given the material and user type. The scale was modeled in FreeCAD and was optimized for assembly and low material usage.

The assembly of the model is very simple. You will mount all of the hardware and the load cell to the scale body. The load cell will use M4 bolts. The wiring can be completed by looking at the schematic.

This scale was created by Zach Arnold and Drew Vincent for the MSE4777 class science project.
