Description

This is a small diameter tube used to mimic a small artery, with an inner diameter of 1.4 mm and a wall thickness of 300 um. The central chamber where the tube is suspended is designed to be filled with a cast collagen gel, or similar hydrogel, and have embedded cells. The inflow and outflow are reinforced so they can be used in a perfusion system or directly interfaced with needles or Pipette tips. This is the 3D model printed in collagen using the FRESH 3D bioprinting method in Lee et al, Science, 2019.
