Description

3D model of a spinel's (MgAl2O4) cubic crystal structure (5x5x5 cube). STL file monochrome, OpenSCAD file tri-color. Within OpenSCAD file, the atom sizes can be changed; in this, the mg and al sizes are slightly decreased. Flat bottom helps with 3D printing, but it is advisable to print with support structures.

Built based on a model from Chemtube.

creator: Tuomas. T. Hämäläinen, as part of Aalto University course ELEC-L3999: 3D Printing of Open Source Hardware for Science, by Dr. Joshua M. Pearce
