Description

Recently, I made a texture generation software for surface models of proteins.

I think it is very useful. Please visit the introduction page and try it (it's freeware).

https://yamule.github.io/SurfStamp-public/

Please see the images in EXTRAS tab. This is the first 3D printed model using the software.

I used 3D print service  at http://make.dmm.com/print/ (All contents are written in Japanese).

The cost was approximatery $400. It was $600 if I did not make space inside of the object

What I didn't expected is the resolution rate of the texture image. It's hard to see some small letters.

I'll use "-residue_oneletter" option in the next time.

The 3D geometry was generated by EDTSurf ( http://zhanglab.ccmb.med.umich.edu/EDTSurf/ ).

The atom coordinates were from 3ZSJ ( http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/explore.do?structureId=3zsj ).
