Description
Proof of Concept model, not intended for printing. Includes assembly(.zip) and segments with dissolvable supports.
This is a bSpline backbone(Ø=5mm) model Segmented into 8 regions, which signify nothing. Designed with 2 flexible regions to demonstrate the effects of phosphorylation (POC, not accurate). Includes multiple magnets (2x2 and 3x3mm) and pegs, but did not account for clearance (if you sand and use an acetone treatment, it might work). Small magnets in struts and larger magnets at segment boundaries. Designed to be printed through Makerware, which automatically performs boolean subtraction/difference during slicing as of ~2.4.1. Therefore, the magnets are in the support models (if your slicer does not do this, you will have to make holes for magnets manually).
Segments are labeled by their color in the picture, flexible region not shown. 0=supports 1=model
