This is a CT scan of a 28 gestational week old fetal skull (26GW-31GW, Mean 28.5GW), showing the anterior and middle cranial fossa and facial bones. The occipita and parietal bones have been removed to highlight the cranial base development, including the sphenoid, temporal bones, and facial bones. From personal scans of a previously unknown fetal collection curated at Boston University School of Medicine Forensic Anthropology Department. Scanned at Boston Medical Center using clinical GE LightSpeed VCT CT system at .625mm.
