Description

This is the "Hug" microdrive designed for use with our swivel cap headstage, along with its associated electrode carriers. Several structural and design changes have been made to the model to improve its stability and ease of use. All of the carriers are merely examples of the versatility of our design, and an experimenter is free to come up with his or her own ideas with the files we provide.  

 

The "Hug" design is ideal for hitting deep structures over a wide area, but may have difficulty with structures with thin layers such as the hippocampus. 

 

To finish assembly, you will need an 18mm 0-80 screw and 0-80 nut, as well as a small amount of flux and solder to keep them together during extension or retraction of the electrode carrier.
