Isolated vertebral bone from the lumbar vertebral column from CT data. 

CAD software was used to remove neighboring bones and estimate the facet topology based on the orientaiton.  Defects in the cortical bone were repaired using CAD software where the bones showed mineral surface hypodensity and diffuse, punctate defects.
