Description
These anatomically accurate models are derived from anonymized medical imaging of a male pelvis. The initial medical imaging data contained artifacts and were optimized for clear visualization and 3D printing purposes. The models were then 3D printed at 125% scale. These were reviewed by an anatomist and surgeon for accuracy and feasibility of use for teaching purposes. Important landmarks, necessary for teaching anatomy/physiology, can be lost while refining the initial imagining data and detail was sculpted back into the models based on expert feedback. The 3D models were revised and reviewed again for anatomical accuracy before additional 3D prints were made.
