Description

This was made on a MakerBot with support. Some of the atoms did not print as well, but errors were patched with air-dry clay. I used acrylic paint to color the model. For the one showing the residues, I used dark colors for the side chains and light colors for the backbone to highlight the different amino acids. Coloring for this model was inspired by: http://www.3dmoleculardesigns.com/Education-Products/Alpha-Helix-Models.htm
