This is the Elliptical Window Calibration (EWC) used for calibrating a bioinks and printer settings when using the the Freeform Reversible Embedding of Suspended Hydrogels (FRESH) 3D bioprinting method. When properly calibrated, the EWC should print with dimensional accuracy, have no stringing across the elliptical opening in the middle, and no crowning (excess) of bioink at the top of once printing is completed.
